As a freelance designer for LightForce Orthodontics, I’m entrusted with creating a variety of social media posts that advertise the company’s products and services to doctors and patients alike. It’s my job to take the copy I receive and utilize LightForce’s branding and photography assets to turn it into eye-catching designs with clear hierarchy and emphasis.

Again, I love experimenting with different gradients using LightForce’s palette - it’s something I didn’t see a lot of among their collateral when I got started and was eager to explore more. I think that gradients in general - but especially gradients using a jewel-toned palette like this one - have the ability to both give pieces a really clean, professional look and add eye-catching emphasis where it’s needed. I also just think they’re really fun!
When tasked with designing a carousel to advertise one of LightForce’s new products back in 2024, I had the idea to utilize their teal accent color and starburst imagery as gradients against the dark, gritty background of these product photos. I think that this concept has the ability to add a real sense of texture and depth to LightForce’s darker color palette, and have experimented with it a lot more since making this. This particular design was a big hit amongst employees and has been consistently referenced as marketing and branding inspiration since its creation.

PROCESS & EXPERIMENTATION

I wanted to use some of LightForce’s new summery product imagery since the conference was in Florida and the other posts talking about it had put a heavy emphasis on its tropical location. We ended up landing on the layout on the far right.
